MTL.07 / Pricing

The tool is free. You pay when proof changes hands.

The CLI is free forever, hosted passports are free while Mantyl is in alpha, and Mantyl Verified is a one-off credit per project at the moment a delivery needs independent proof. Agency comes later: £99 a month for a hundred verifications, once one-off credits have earned it.

How Verified works

No paywall stands between you and a finished handover, and passport.json stays open so the ecosystem can build on the format. Every tier is spelled out in full on the pricing page.

MTL.07.1 / The detail

Every tier, spelled out.

This pricing model does not exist elsewhere, so nothing here is left to pattern matching. What each tier contains, what it requires, and what it deliberately does not include.

The CLI: free forever

Everything that runs on your machine is free with no account, no trial clock and no telemetry, under the MIT licence. That is scanning your repository and agent history (Claude Code, with Cursor and Codex in beta), executing verification checks in a local Docker sandbox, generating the passport with HTML and Markdown reports, and independently rechecking any passport you receive with mantyl receive. The passport.json format is open, so nothing you generate is locked to us. It requires Node 20 or newer, git, and Docker Desktop for executed checks; without Docker the CLI still works and records skipped checks honestly. What free never includes is our signature: local verification proves things to you, not to your client.

Hosted passports: free while Mantyl is in alpha

One command publishes a passport you have approved to a shareable link derived from its digest. Only the passport document uploads, never source code, and the server re-checks the schema and digest before hosting anything. You get a delete token at publish and removal is immediate. Identical passports deduplicate, so republishing costs nothing and changes nothing. If alpha pricing ever changes, passports already hosted stay up and this page will say so before anything else does.

Mantyl Verified: £19 to £49 per project, one-off

One credit buys an independent re-execution of one project at one commit on infrastructure you do not control. The upload is git-tracked files only, compressed, up to 4 MB, with your explicit consent shown before anything moves. The run gets up to 45 minutes of execution in a fresh sandbox, a check whose result does not match the recording is automatically retried once, and the working copy is destroyed when the run ends. Every recorded check must reproduce as passed for the accreditation to be signed; the Ed25519 signature binds the exact commit, the passport digest and the policy version, and the hosted passport re-verifies that signature every time the page renders. Pack sizes (Solo up to 2,000 files at £19, Standard up to 10,000 at £29, Large beyond that at £49) are chosen by you and honoured on trust: a mismatch gets a polite email, never a surprise charge.

The money terms in one place: a credit is refundable until its verification runs. A run our infrastructure fails to execute never consumes the credit. A run that completes with failed checks includes one free re-run of the same project within 14 days, applied automatically by the CLI, so fixing what the verification found costs nothing extra. Payment is processed by Whop, taxes are handled at checkout, and your receipt arrives by email. What Verified is not: a security audit, a code review or a quality judgement. It proves the recorded checks reproduce, exactly as stated, which is the thing a handover argument stands on.

Agency: £99 monthly, coming after credits prove themselves

For teams shipping multiple client projects a month: one hundred verifications on a pooled balance, which works out under £1 per verification against £19 to £49 bought per project. Planned alongside it: white label reports with your mark on the passport your client sees, delivery history across the team, and an append-only audit log for repeat clients. It opens once one-off credits have earned it, and it will always be cancel-anytime with your history and passports kept. Want it sooner or shaped differently? Tell us.

MTL.07.2 / Against the market

Priced like a delivery, because that is what it is.

Nothing else does exactly this, so here is what people pay for the nearest alternatives. The difference is the unit: handovers happen per project, so that is how Mantyl charges.

ApproachTypical priceThe unit you pay for
Human code audit services$199 to $3,000 per auditOne review, 3 to 7 day turnaround, priced by scope
AI code review tools$24 to $30 per seat, monthlyA subscription per developer, whether or not you deliver
Code escrow with verificationFrom $139 monthly plus setup feesAn ongoing retainer on the deposited codebase
Mantyl Verified£19 to £49, onceOne delivery, verified and signed, at the moment it ships

Market figures are typical published prices for each category as of August 2026, gathered from public pricing pages.

MTL.07.3 / Start free

The free tier is the product. Paid is the proof.

Install the CLI, generate a passport on a real project, and pay only when a delivery deserves an independent signature.
